I Didn't Follow My Own Advice

InnovateWell, here we are. Twenty-five blog posts since I began writing every day. It seems like forever ago since my first post of the month, Blogging for 30 Days: How to Survive. In that post, I came up with 30 different topics for articles that I and anyone else could use for inspiration. However, out of that list, I've only written based on half of them, and loosely at that.

Why?

There are many things that are important to me when it comes to writing. So important that I veer off the beaten path that I myself wrote in order to make sure that these are upheld.

Seize Thoughts

When ideas come to mind, they tend to leave unless you yank the pole and reel them in. So if a thought that I want to expand upon enters my mind, it would be a shame to let that go to waste. So if a thought that I want to expand upon enters my mind, it would be a shame to let that go to waste. We think about so many things yet let them dissipate like vapor. Those thoughts are valuable not only to you but a lot of other people.Set them free!

Challenge Ideas

While I encourage the free exchange of thought, criticism thereof is equally if not more valuable. Many share their thoughts without thinking through the implications of those ideas.Take those free roaming, potentially dangerous views and capture them. Put them in a serious interrogation room and don't let them out until you're sure of their innocence or guilt.Your mind is too valuable to let falsehoods corrupt it. When you see a news article, a social trend, or otherwise, don't allow it to make its home in your brain until you've gotten to know it really well.

Break the Mold

If I were to follow a cookie cutter mold such as my previously mentioned blog post, I'd be bored to death. Innovation, creativity, and making new things is what a content creator thrives on.I don't do this because it's easy, or for the money (ha). I do it because I want to use the talent I have to innovate entertainment. This means doing things differently. Changing up the routine. Taking what the world says is the "standard" and making it better.I'm a firm believer in innovation. Breaking the mold for the sake of improvement, not rebellion. So be free! Let your ideas flow. Take those ideas and let no thought avoid scrutiny. Do so like nobody has done before. That's the real way to survive 30 days of blogging.
